The Redneck Mother (Ray Wylie Hubbard) song mentions an age, too (34). This is all coming full circle.... I take that as a metaphor for life (huh, Susie J?)

Gayle, you know, as I do, that EVERYTHING is a metaphor for life. And by EVERYTHING, I mean, yes, I do interpret EVERY glass of water I drink as representative of my ENTIRE life. And every sip is a portion of MY LIFE - wasted! or not wasted. rather, used exactly how it should be. But only the future can determine exactly how BIG each portion actually is.

D-I-V-O-R-C-E - Tammy Wynette (see title)

This is a note to myself to add this, since the savage computers at work won't let me do it here. Yes, Susie J, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G is a metaphor for L-I-F-E. If I was in a band, I would write a song about it that included spelling, references to incorporeal lovers, and grocery stores. Oh, and references to techologically-aided conversations with the divine (a sneak preview of another challenging upcoming theme from your very own Susie J). And I would dedicate it to you.

"R.O.C.K. in the USA," by John Cougar Mellan-whatever. And "I Stand Accused," by Elvis Costello: "I s-t-a-n-d a-c-c-u-s-e-d/I stand accused, of loving you."
