*Subway Song - The Cure
*Someone else came up with There is a Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths. It has a reference to a double decker bus.
*Downtown Train - Tom Waits

As for train songs, I think that in the future we should do a train mix. For this mix, I would ultimately like to include only songs that explicitly mention intracity travel. Thus any train song that is traveling within a city counts (for example, Downtown Train - Tom Waits).

I wish I could go to Tom Waits' house for dinner. Someday...

Dude! I Missed the Bus by Skankin Pickle! Didn't everyone listen to that in high school? Zach, you skank to everything, I know you know this. Gawd.

Also, what about Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat from Guys and Dolls? Sure, it's only a metaphoric boat they're talking about...but everything's a metaphor, right?

I think that "5:15," by the Who, fits the category, since the 5:15 is clearly a commuter train that people take home from work daily, not a train to another city.

"London's Burning," by the Clash: "Now I'm in the subway and I'm looking for the flat..."

Does the elevator count as a form of public transportation?
